"I am not what happened to me, I am what I choose to become."
Carl Jung
This work isn’t about fixing you. It’s about freeing you.
We live in a world full of advice — tools, podcasts, and frameworks telling you how to be a better man, partner, father, or leader. But advice only goes so far. What many of us need is space: a place to slow down, cut through the noise, and be honest about what’s working, what’s not, and what it really feels like to be you.
I work with men who are used to holding it together — men who seem confident and in control on the outside but underneath feel stuck, disconnected, numb, or quietly wondering, Is this all there is? Some are navigating major transitions — fatherhood, career shifts, divorce, grief — while others are wrestling with burnout, depression, anxiety, or a loss of confidence. I also support men through moments of career stagnation, sexual challenges, and loneliness — the quiet struggles that can go unseen but weigh heavily.
Therapy with me is a collaborative partnership grounded in trust, honesty, and real conversation. Together, we’ll explore what’s shaped you, where you’re stuck, and what parts of you are ready to evolve. This might mean noticing old patterns, trying new ways of relating, or developing strategies to meet life with more clarity and confidence.
It’s also a space to wrestle with a deeper question: What does it mean to be a man? I see masculinity as strength, bravery, and decisiveness — and also the willingness to face what’s been avoided and stay present when things get uncomfortable. I’ve seen this courage in every man I work with, and I believe it’s in you too, even if it’s hard to access right now.
I don’t follow scripts. I follow what’s real — tracking what lies beneath the surface and helping you reconnect to your own direction, even if you’ve learned to ignore it. This work can challenge you, but it can also reconnect you — to your integrity, and to a deeper sense of who you are and how you want to live.
If this sounds like something you’ve been missing, I’d be honored to support you in finding your way forward — and back to your authentic self.
Below are some strategies we might use in our work.
Defining your Beliefs
Before you can change, it helps to understand who you are and what you believe. Together, we'll explore how you define yourself, identify how you act on these beliefs, and seek to understand the ways these beliefs either enable or restrict your authentic self-expression and progress.
Relationship Building
The health of our relationships can help determine how we view ourselves and our future prospects. In your therapy, we'll explore how you view yourself and others and work to enhance your ability to form deeper, more meaningful connections.
Finding Meaning
Meaning gives our lives purpose and sustains us during difficult times. Together, we'll explore what you find meaningful, identify areas where it may be lacking, and help you chart a course towards finding more of it in your every day life and relationships.
Processing Shame
Shame is the voice that tells us we never were or ever will be enough. In our work, we'll examine where that voice comes from, track how it shows up in your life, and work to reduce its power. In doing so, we'll create more room for you to act freely, decisively, and with less worry and doubt.
Assertiveness Training
Do you struggle with indecision or ambivalence in your relationships or career? Assertiveness training teaches you how to communicate your wants and needs in a clear and direct manner, which can increase your confidence and improve your relationships.
Future Goal Planning
Clear yet flexible goals give us a target to aim for and allow us to identify steps and barriers to progress. Throughout your therapy, we'll work to define the things you want and create strategies based on your strengths to increase the odds you reach the outcomes you seek.
Integrating your Shadow
According to Carl Jung, the shadow is our dark side, the part we hide from ourselves and others. It also happens to be the key to unlocking our potential and strength. We'll get to know your shadow and explore the ways you can benefit from integrating more of it into your life.
Exploring Values
Many of us go through life holding and acting on values that may not be our own, which can lead to feelings of emptiness and self-doubt. In our work, we'll examine and clarify your values and develop strategies to help you live more in alignment with what feels important to you.
Accepting your Authentic Self
Accepting ourselves for who we are and not what we're supposed to be is key to mental health. Ironically, when we accept ourselves, flaws and all, we can make changes toward becoming what we want. We'll explore what gets in the way of you accepting more of yourself and develop practices for living more boldly.
